Projects

Mile High United Way
Mile High United Way launched the United for Business Website Build Initiative to support women- and minority-owned small businesses across the region. The goal was to strengthen under-resourced communities by equipping entrepreneurs with the digital tools needed to thrive. Many of these businesses didn’t have functional websites or the know-how to promote themselves online.
OAS served as the digital partner for the initiative, designing and launching websites for over twenty small businesses in a compressed timeline. We focused on creating user-friendly sites that reflected each business’s unique identity and could be easily updated. Alongside the design work, we also led several strategic workshops for participants, covering digital marketing, website maintenance, and content strategy. The combination of hands-on delivery and education helped participants not only get a new website but also gain confidence in managing their digital presence.

Colorado Department of Transportation
The Colorado Department of Transportation’s Civil Rights division needed help making their web content more accessible and easier to navigate. With multiple stakeholder groups—including internal teams, contractors, and members of the public—it was essential that their information architecture support different user journeys while meeting strict accessibility standards.
OAS worked with CDOT to analyze web analytics, user demographics, and usability data. From there, we provided both content revision and structural support, ensuring the site met WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines and offered a streamlined user experience across all devices. The result was a clearer, more intuitive set of Civil Rights pages that better served the diverse communities CDOT is committed to reaching.
Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce
The Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce partnered with OAS for a full communications overhaul. At the time, their website was outdated, their messaging inconsistent, and their engagement tools underutilized. They needed a more modern digital presence that could keep up with their growing programming and better support their membership.
We began with a full website redesign, building a mobile-friendly platform with streamlined navigation and a clearer value proposition for members. From there, we developed a comprehensive content strategy that included email marketing, social media, and graphic design support. We also created a branded, community-focused newsletter that helped increase engagement and drove traffic back to the website. Since then, we’ve continued supporting CBCC with ongoing communications work, helping them stay visible and connected with their community.

Moonshot edVentures
Moonshot edVentures invited OAS to lead a series of marketing and communications workshops for their fellowship program. These early-stage founders were building new organizations and needed guidance on how to communicate their missions clearly and strategically.
We designed a hands-on workshop experience that covered branding basics, internal and external communication strategies, advertising, and marketing planning. Fellows left the sessions with branding worksheets, budget templates, and a clear roadmap for their marketing efforts. By making the learning interactive and immediately applicable, we helped participants build confidence in telling their stories and making thoughtful marketing decisions.
Westerly Enterprises, LLC
Westerly Enterprises is a Black-owned, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in the D.C. metro area. As a federal contractor working in construction, landscaping, and snow removal, they needed a brand and website that matched the quality of their work and positioned them as a trusted partner for large-scale contracts. Their original site was built using the GoDaddy platform and no longer reflected their growth or technical capabilities.
OAS led a full rebrand and digital overhaul. We began by rewriting all of the website copy and curating visual content that felt both professional and personal. We built a custom WordPress site with enhanced local SEO features, migrated them to managed hosting, and provided ongoing maintenance and analytics tracking. Beyond the site, our work has included pitch decks, proposal graphics, and updated capability statements. Since the redesign, Westerly has secured multiple new contracts totaling over $20M and continues to rely on OAS for strategic design and digital support.

Legendary Fitness
Legendary Fitness is a personal training studio in Maryland that wanted to modernize its website and build a more flexible experience for its clients—especially as pandemic restrictions shifted the way fitness services were delivered. Their original site was built on Wix, and they needed more functionality, better design, and support for virtual programming.
OAS migrated their site to WordPress, redesigning it to be fully responsive across devices and easy for both staff and clients to navigate. We added a members-only section for paid content and offered hosting consultation and ongoing maintenance. As their services evolved, we helped them update class offerings, staff bios, and pricing packages. The new website reflects their welcoming brand and supports the hybrid nature of their business. We continue to support their site to ensure it stays up to date and performs reliably.

Hot Tub Service Maryland
Hot Tub Service Maryland came to OAS with an outdated website that hadn’t been touched since the company was first founded. Despite over 30 years of experience and a strong social media presence, the old site was hurting their credibility and frustrating customers with poor usability.
We redesigned the website from the ground up, giving it a cleaner layout, easier navigation, and a responsive design that worked seamlessly on mobile. We also integrated key functions like online payments and parts ordering—making it easier for customers to interact with the business. The new site brought HTSM’s digital presence in line with the quality of their service and made it easier for them to grow their customer base while maintaining their reputation.
